What Does The Roomba 614 Offer?
To use the Roomba 614, you’ll be relying on a remote control that iRobot provides. This remote control gives you access to the different cleaning modes that the robot vacuum offers, as well as features such as being able to tell the vacuum to recharge, and creating a custom schedule for the vacuum.
With these features, you have a certain level of control over the robot vacuum, which makes it very easy for you to tailor the overall vacuuming experience to what you need.

When this robot vacuum is moving across the different surfaces in your home, it relies on a very simple, yet very effective, cleaning system. This cleaning system consists of side-brushes that pull in dirt and dust from all around the vacuum cleaner.
All of that dirt and dust is pushed underneath the robot vacuum, where it goes into a main brush system. This main brush system is also used to remove dirt and dust that is right underneath the vacuum cleaner. Then, to end the vacuuming process, all of that dirt and dust is thrown directly into the vacuum cleaner’s suction pathway.
With this brush system, it’s very easy for this robot vacuum to clean your floors. But, along with that, it also has a strong suction system that’s great for vacuuming on hard floors and removing the dirt and dust that is on those surfaces. But, unfortunately, this suction system isn’t ideal for thick carpets and rugs.
As for the battery-life, this robot vacuum can run for ninety-minutes. But, when it’s done running for that ninety-minutes, it automatically moves back to the charging dock.
Ultimately, the Roomba 614 is a very nice robot vacuum that is quite affordable, very well-made, and offers some excellent performance.

What Does The Roomba 675 Offer?
With the Roomba 675, you are getting a far more elaborate vacuuming experience that consists of some extra features and tools, all of which make it easier to vacuum the surfaces within your home.

Roomba 675
Unlike the previous robot vacuum, you can use your smartphone to operate this vacuum. On your smartphone, you have access to all of the features and settings that the robot vacuum offers, and you can access these features and settings at any time.
If you are at work, and you want the robot vacuum to vacuum before you come home, then you can do that. And, you have access to all of the other settings that this robot vacuum offers, at any time, as well.
If you want to create a new schedule or tell the vacuum to recharge, even if you’re away from home, then you can easily do that.
As for the overall functionality of this vacuum cleaner, with regards to the features that it offers, these are many of the same features that you’ll find in the previous robot vacuum. This robot vacuum cleaner relies on a main brush system, that is right underneath the robot vacuum, and two side-brushes.

Roomba 675
The two side-brushes pull in dirt and dust from all around the robot vacuum. And then, the main brush pulls up the dirt and dust that is right underneath the robot vacuum. But, all of that dirt and dust flows directly into the robot vacuum’s suction pathway, where it’s thrown directly into the vacuum cleaner.
When it comes to suction power, this robot vacuum cleaner isn’t that different from the previous Roomba vacuum. It isn’t that much more powerful, but it does offer stronger suction power, so it’s better for carpets and rugs.
You should only use this robot vacuum on thin carpets and rugs, rather than thick ones, because it won’t be able to vacuum the dirt and dust that is held within the depths of those particular surfaces.
As for the battery-life, it’s the same as the previous Roomba. It lasts for ninety-minutes, and when it’s done running, it goes straight to the charging dock.

Conclusion
Ultimately, the Roomba 614 and the Roomba 675 are both great. For a more affordable, and less elaborate, experience, the Roomba 614 is fantastic. But, if you want some more convenience and slightly more power, then the Roomba 675 is the best choice.
