If you’re on the market for a good air purifier, you can’t go wrong with Frigidaire. By reading this review, you’re going to learn all about the Frigidaire FAD504DWD 50-Pint Dehumidifier, one of the best dehumidifiers on the market, and whether or not it’s right for you!

Using this dehumidifier, you are able to dehumidify rooms and spaces that are anywhere from 1,500 square-feet, to 3,000 square-feet.
That is quite a bit of space, and that’s one of the reasons why this dehumidifier is a bit more expensive than many of the other dehumidifiers that you can purchase.

Just as the name implies, within a single 24-hour period, this dehumidifier is able to remove 80-pints of moisture from the air. All of this moisture is removed from the air and it then goes into one of two places.
You can set this dehumidifier up so that it uses the moisture tank, which is included. This moisture tank isn’t capable of holding the entirety of the 50-pints of moisture that can be dehumidified, though, it’s only capable of holding 16-pints.

What this means is that you’re going to need to empty the tank out on a regular basis, if you’re running the dehumidifier for a longer period of time.
On the other hand, you can also connect this dehumidifier to a water line. This comes from a very basic connection that is right by the power cord connection. And, how it works is that all of the moisture that’s removed from the air flows straight through the water line, and into some sort of piping system or a water disposal system.
That way, there’s no need for it to be stored in a moisture tank, and there’s no need for you to empty that water tank out.
Right on the front of this dehumidifier, you have access to all of the features and settings that this dehumidifier offers. You are able to set a timer, which determines when the dehumidifier is on and when it’s off, and you’re also able to set the fan speed.

By setting the fan speed, you determine how fast air is sucked into the dehumidifier, and how fast the dehumidification process actually is.
Perhaps, the coolest and most useful feature, though, is the humidity controller. Using the humidity controller, you’re able to set the exact humidity percentage of the room that the dehumidifier is located in.
And, by doing this, you determine how much humidity the dehumidifier needs to remove, and the amount of humidity that the dehumidifier can ignore.
This is an excellent feature, because it allows you to determine the exact amount of humidity that is in your space, at any given time. Plus, it allows you control the amount of humidity that the dehumidifier removes, ensuring that it doesn’t remove more than you would like.

To aid in the dehumidification process, and to ensure that your air remains nice and clean, this dehumidifier uses a basic filtration system that consists of a mesh filter.
With this mesh filter, air passes through it, and all of the dust and allergens that are floating around within that air are removed, and this ensures that the air passing through the dehumidifier is free of those particles.
When it comes to the features and settings of this dehumidifier, they’re all excellent. The design, however, isn’t quite as good as it could be, which is the biggest flaw of this dehumidifier.
With a weight of around 37-pounds, this is a heavy dehumidifier. And, it’s also a fairly large dehumidifier, due to the bulk of the individual components that comprise this dehumidifier.
Moving it around isn’t always very easy, due to the heft and bulk. Although, there are caster wheels on the bottom, and there are handles located on the side of the dehumidifier. But, the caster wheels aren’t very well-made, and they’re not that durable.

It isn’t uncommon for the wheels to detach or fall apart. Naturally, this makes moving the dehumidifier around a lot more challenging then it needs to be.Related Frigidaire Dehumidifier Articles

Conclusion
If you can look past the rather inconvenient design, you’ll find that the Frigidaire FAD504DWD 50-Pint Dehumidifier is an excellent dehumidifier. It’s extremely powerful, and it’s capable of removing a great deal of moisture within a single day.
But, more importantly, it’s capable of working within very large spaces, and as such, this dehumidifier is great for big dehumidification tasks that require plenty of power, and a large Maximum Area Coverage!
