On the top of the chest freezer, right underneath the door, there is a hanging wire storage basket. What is nice about this hanging wire storage basket is the fact that it allows you to separate some of your frozen items from the others.

The Whynter CUF-301BK is an upright freezer that looks a lot like a mini-fridge. To open this upright freezer, you just need to pull the door that’s on the front of the freezer, and this door opens the same way that you would expect a fridge door to open. This simple, and familiar, design allows for convenience and ease of use.

Inside this upright freezer, you have access to 3.0 cubic feet of space. This is more than enough space for a variety of frozen goods – bags of vegetables, ice cream, meat – but the organization and design of this upright freezer make it a little more difficult to organize larger frozen items.

As such, this upright freezer is better for storing frozen items that can also be stored in a regular freezer, due to their size.

With mechanical temperature control, you can set the temperature of this freezer anywhere from -11-degrees to 10.4-degrees. That’s not as cool as the Midea, so this freezer is meant for items that don’t require too much cooling.
In the end, if you need a durable, useful, and convenient upright freezer, you can’t go wrong with the Whynter CUF-301BK. It isn’t the most powerful freezer on the market, but it works very well!
