To some, air purifiers are very basic technology. They perform one simple task – that of purifying your air – and that’s it. There isn’t any complexity or nuance to the design of an air purifier, and there aren’t any unique design possibilities. Instead, they’re just air purifiers.

Even if that were true, though, air purifiers are still some of the most useful tools available. Using a good air purifier, you can clean the air that is in your home. More often than not, that air is full of really nasty and disgusting germs, bacteria, allergens, along with plenty of other nasty contaminants. These aren’t things that you want to be inhaling, because they can easily make you sick, and cause a variety of different health problems.

What a good air purifier does is it takes those contaminants, and eliminates them. But, that design philosophy has changed. While that does remain one of the core design traits, air purifiers are becoming more and more advanced, and turning into very useful technologies that allow for more efficient air purification, and an experience that is significantly more hands-off.
In this buying guide, you’re going to learn all about this new wave of air purifiers, and the wonderful features and design attributes that they have. More specifically, though, you’re going to learn about four different air purifiers that illustrate these trends, while also providing a fantastic air purification experience.

Right off the bat, we’re going to look at the LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier. The LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier is going to be the main air purifier that we’re going to look at.
After that, you are going to learn about three more air purifiers. The LEVOIT LV-H133, the LEVOIT LV-H134, and then the Hathaspace Smart True HEPA Air Purifier.
Each one of these air purifiers is excellent, and you are going to learn what they offer, and how they can make your life a little easier.

What Does The LEVOIT LV-PUR131S Air Purifier Offer?
The LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier is a “Smart Air Purifier”. Smart Air Purifiers are very different from regular air purifiers, because they make use of Wi-Fi technology so that you can connect your Smart Devices – such as a smartphone and a tablet – to the air purifier. Many Smart Air Purifiers also have some very powerful sensors that allow the air purifier to determine the quality of the air on its own.

Since the LEVOIT Smart is a “Smart Air Purifier”, it has all of those features. Using a Wi-Fi connection, you can control the LEVOIT Smart using your smartphone or tablet. This is done using an application that LEVOIT has developed.
When you are using this application, you can create a custom schedule for the air purifier, change the speed of the air purifier, and tell the air purifier to turn on or off. These are features that you can access at any time, as long as the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S Air Purifier has a Wi-Fi connection, and as long as your Smart Device has a Wi-Fi connection. If you have a Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa device, you can use those devices to access these same features.
Every air purifier has a Maximum Area Coverage, and the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S has a Maximum Area Coverage of 360 square-feet. If you are purifying a space that is larger than 360 square-feet, it might be a little trickier for the air purifier to fully purify the air in that space.
Air flows into the LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier, and it passes through a Preliminary Filter. This Preliminary Filter removes all of the larger particles. Then, it passes through a True-HEPA Filter, which removes all of the small germs and allergens; these are the nastiest particles. Finally, the air flows through an Activated Carbon Filter; the Activated Carbon Filter eliminates all of the really nasty odors that are floating around in your home.

While it isn’t the most elaborate air purification process, it is very efficient and allows the air in your home to be filtered out thoroughly. You won’t have to deal with any random gunk floating in your air anymore!
Ultimately, the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier is one of the best smart air purifiers around! It’s easy-to-use, very efficient, has some great “Smart Features”, and it’s affordable!

LEVOIT LV-PUR131S Vs. LV-H133
Using the LEVOIT LV-H133, you can purify the air in spaces that are 538 square-feet. So, the MAC of the LEVOIT LV-H133 is bigger than that of the LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier.

What’s nice about the design of the LEVOIT LV-H133 is that it allows for 360-degree filtration. Air can pass through every side of the LEVOIT LV-H133, and this allows the air to pass through the filtration mechanisms. It’s more efficient than having a rectangular design.
Within the LEVOIT LV-H133, there are a couple of sensors. What these sensors do is they detect the particles that are within your air, and then they adjust the fan speeds, and other related settings, to accommodate the current quality of your air. If your air is dirty, they will speed up the fans. But, if it isn’t that dirty, then they’ll lower the speed of the fans, so that you don’t use as much electricity.
Other than that, the LEVOIT LV-H133 is pretty much the same air purifier as the LEVOIT Smart Wi-Fi Air Purifier. Except for the fact that it doesn’t have much in the way of Smart Features. You can’t use your smartphone to access the settings that the LEVOIT LV-H133 offers. But, you can still create a schedule and things of that nature.

In the end, if you want Smart Features, the LEVOIT LV-H133 isn’t the right air purifier for you. But, if you want an air purifier that is incredibly well-designed and very efficient, then the LEVOIT LV-H133 is worth considering!

LEVOIT LV-PUR131S Vs. LV-H134
With the LEVOIT LV-H134, you have an air purifier that has a similar design to the LEVOIT LV-H133. But, the LEVOIT LV-H134 is a more efficient air purifier that improves a few key features that were found in the LEVOIT LV-H133.

Instead of having a MAC of 538 square-feet, you have a MAC of 710 square-feet. This is especially useful if you want to purify a larger space, in a quicker period of time.
To aid in this, the 360-degree design of the LEVOIT LV-H133 is present in the LEVOIT LV-H134.
Using “Auto Mode”, sensors determine the quality of your air, and then the LEVOIT LV-H134 adjusts itself to accommodate that air quality. But, these sensors are a lot more accurate, and they detect the quality of your air more frequently, and more consistently.

Just as with the LEVOIT LV-H133, you don’t have any Smart Features. But, if that isn’t a problem, then the LEVOIT LV-H134 is a great air purifier that gives you a larger MAC, better sensors, and a great air purification experience!

LEVOIT LV-PUR131S Vs. Hathaspace
The Hathaspace Smart True HEPA Air Purifier can purify a space that is 350 square-feet, at the most. To do this, the Hathaspace Smart True HEPA Air Purifier uses a thorough series of purification systems that allow all of the gunk and grime in your air to be removed.

If you want to make using the Hathaspace Smart True HEPA Air Purifier a hands-off experience, you can use “Auto Mode”. Auto Mode works the same way that it does in the two previous LEVOIT air purifiers, which means that it uses sensors to determine the quality of your air, and then adjusts itself.
What’s nice about the Hathaspace Smart True HEPA Air Purifier is that it’s a very quiet air purifier. It makes very little noise, even on higher settings, and this makes it easy to run it while you are sleeping.
Ultimately, the Hathaspace Smart True HEPA Air Purifier is pretty similar to the other air purifiers we’ve looked at. But, it’s affordable, great for smaller spaces and homes, and is well-designed!
