In this review, we’re going to be looking at the Honeywell Portable Evaporative Cooler, and the features that it offers, as well as how it works.

When you take a look at this evaporative cooler, and compare it to the others that are available, you won’t notice much in the way of differences or distinctions. This evaporative cooler is just like many of the other evaporative coolers that are available, but the big difference is that every feature and design trait is exceptionally well-designed, which ensures that your experience with the cooler is easy and pleasant.
To begin using this evaporative cooler, you need to plug it in, and then you need to open up a slot on the back and pour some cold water into it. On the top of the evaporative cooler, there is a compartment that you can pour ice into, which will ensure that the air coming out of the cooler is nice and cold.

When water is in the evaporative cooler, and when you’ve placed ice in the top compartment, you can turn the evaporative cooler on. To do this, you can use a control panel that’s on the top of the evaporative cooler, or a remote control.

Once you’ve turned the evaporative cooler on, you’re then able to choose the speed of the evaporative cooler. It can produce cool air very quickly, which allows a hot space to cool in a shorter period of time, or you can choose a lower speed so that the cool air comes out at a more gradual space, ensuring that things don’t become too cool too quickly.
Of course, you aren’t just able to choose the speed of the evaporative cooler, you also have access to several other settings, as well. For one thing, you can turn on “Air Swing”, which allows the air to swing back and forth, allowing it to move across the entirety of whatever space the evaporative cooler is within.
Along with that, you can also set a timer, which allows you to determine how long the evaporative cooler runs for, without you having to turn it on and off manually.
As for where you can set this evaporative cooler up, it works in most smaller and medium-sized spaces and areas. It’s not ideal for large living rooms, to name just one example, because those spaces are large and they will require more airflow. But, for a bedroom or a small living room or an office, this is a great evaporative cooler.

Since it isn’t the largest evaporative cooler, or that heavy, moving it around isn’t much of a challenge. There are wheels on the bottom, as well as a handle, and this lets you pick it up and move it from one room to another. So, if you intend to use this in a larger space, you can move it from one part of that space to another, fairly easily, so that the entire space receives cool air.
In order for this evaporative cooler to work, it requires air to be sucked into it, and for that air to pass through the cool air/ice cubes, so that it can be cooled.
To do this, the evaporative cooler relies on a fan that is in the back of the evaporative cooler. With this fan, all of the air in whatever space you’ve set up the evaporative cooler in is sucked into the machine. There, it passes through a Carbon Dust Air Filter.
What this Carbon Dust Air Filter does, is it removes all of the dust that is within the air, as well as any nasty odors or contaminants. That way, the dust doesn’t become a part of the cool air that is coming out of the cooler.

What really makes this evaporative cooler so exceptional, is the fact that it uses very little power. More often than not, it only uses 230W of electricity, which isn’t that much. Especially when you compare the energy usage of this evaporative cooler to a traditional air conditioner, which uses quite a bit more electricity.
One thing to remember, though, is that evaporative coolers for places where there isn’t a lot of humidity. If you live in an area where there is a lot of humidity in the air, then this isn’t a good cooling system to use.
Conclusion
In the end, the Honeywell Portable Evaporative Cooler is a very nice evaporative cooler that offers convenience and power for a low price. It’s one of the best portable evaporative coolers on the market, due to the quality of its components and design.
