Most people severely underestimate two things, the benefits that a good air purifier gives you, and the amount of gunk that is in the air in your home, the same air that you breathe in every moment.
Air is dirty. The air that you are breathing in is full of germs, bacteria, allergens, and a variety of other particles, most of which aren’t exactly good for you. And, there’s nothing that you can do about this, because that’s the nature of air, and that is what happens when you’re living your life: you breathe in a lot of nasty stuff.

For that reason, most people don’t bother purchasing an air purifier, or making any effort to improve the air quality in their home. It just doesn’t seem like something that’s particularly worthwhile. But it is, it is, and that’s because these particles don’t go away, they remain in your air, and they move around. You can breathe them in very easily, and become sick. And if you are already sick, you can become even more sick, because those particles aren’t going to do anything but weaken your condition.
What a good air purifier does is it eliminates a significant percentage of those nasty particles. Your air becomes much cleaner, and so does your health. If you get sick, it’s okay, because the air is nice and clean, and you won’t be worsening your condition. And, this also ensures that if someone else brings in some nasty particles, those particles will be removed.
In this guide, you’re going to learn about four different air purifiers. But, the main air purifier you’re going to learn about is the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier. This is a fantastic air purifier, and that’s because it works well, and has a great design. You’re going to learn all about those things.

What Does The Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier Offer?
To start, the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier is designed to purify the air in spaces that are, at the most 361 square-feet. If you have a larger space, and you want to purify the air in that space, you can use the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier to do that, but it’s only going to be able to purify 361 square-feet of that particular space. So, make sure to keep that in mind.
When you are using the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier, you have a couple of different options for how you use the air purifier, and the different kinds of settings that you can use. If you want to adjust the speed of the fans – which push the air into the air purifier, and out of it – you can do that by pressing a button, and you have three speeds to choose from.
What’s nice about the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier, though, is the fact that there is something called “Auto Mode”. So, Auto Mode is a mode that uses the Coway Mighty Pollution Sensor to detect the particles in your air, and just how dirty and contaminated your air is. Once the sensor has figured out how dirty – or not dirty – it is, it selects the fan speed that can best accommodate the air quality. This is great, since it makes the experience far more hands-off.
During the purification process, air flows through four different mechanisms. The first mechanism is that of a Pre-Filter. This Pre-Filter removes all of the bigger particles, such as large strands of hair and dust clumps. Then, the air flows into the Deodorization Filter, which eliminates the nasty odors and smells that are within the air. Right after that, the air flows into the True HEPA Filter, and this True HEPA Filter gets rid of all of the really small and tiny particles, such as germs and allergens. Finally, the air flows into a Vital Ionizer, which uses negatively-charged ions to eradicate the remaining particles.
All in all, the Coway AP-1512HH Mighty Air Purifier is a fantastic air purifier that gives you a thorough and efficient purification system, as well as an excellent and easy-to-use design!
Coway AP-1512HH Vs. Germ Guardian AC4825
The Germ Guardian AC4825 has a Maximum Area Coverage of 167 square-feet. That’s not as big as the Coway AP-1512HH, but that’s the thing, the Germ Guardian AC4825 is designed for smaller and more cramped spaces. It’s not the most thorough air purifier, but it is efficient, and great for cleaning up the air.
When air flows into the Germ Guardian AC4825, it passes through two main filtration mechanisms, as well as a third mechanism that you can activate, if you want.
Right away, the air goes through a True-HEPA Filter. This True-HEPA Filter takes all of the allergens, germs, and really small particles, and filters them out. This is very useful, especially if you have a cold or allergies, since this is the filter that removes those things.
When the air is done passing through the True-HEPA Filter, it goes through a Charcoal Filter. The Charcoal Filter gets rid of the nasty and gross odors that are floating around.
Finally, the air can pass through a UV-C Light, which uses the power of light to destroy the remaining particles, including spores and bacteria. But, you don’t have to use this.
Overall, the Germ Guardian AC4825 is a very nice air purifier that is fantastic for smaller spaces!
Coway AP-1512HH Vs. Winix 5500-2
In many ways, the Winix 5500-2 is a lot like the Coway AP-1512HH. It has many of the same basic features, and gives you performance that is just about the same. But, the design is quite different, and the aesthetic qualities of the Winix 5500-2 are quite a bit more apparent, which makes it a nicer air purifier to look at.
Using the Winix 5500-2, you have access to sensors, and purification modes, that automate the entire process for you. You don’t have to do anything, just turn on Auto Mode and that’s it. This makes things very easy.
As for the purification mechanisms, the Winix 5500-2 consists of a True-HEPA Filter, an AOC Carbon Filter, and then PlasmaWave Technology. Those first two mechanisms work the same way that they do in the Coway AP-1512HH, but PlasmaWave serves as a powerful mechanism for getting rid of chemical vapors and strong odors.
In the end, the Winix 5500-2 doesn’t offer much that’s different from the Coway AP-1512HH, but it has a great design and PlasmaWave is very good at getting rid of some of the more difficult particles to remove!
Coway AP-1512HH Vs. LEVOIT LV-PUR131S
The LEVOIT LV-PUR131S gives you a Maximum Area Coverage of 360 square feet and an Activated Carbon HEPA Filter. It’s just like a HEPA-Filter, but combined with an Activated Carbon Filter. Here’s the thing, those are the more uninteresting aspects of the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S.
Using your smartphone, you have direct access to the features that the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S gives you! You can create a schedule, adjust the speed of the fans, turn the air purifier on and off, among other things. You also have direct access to your air quality, thanks to the sensors that the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S gives you.
Other than that, the LEVOIT LV-PUR131S is very similar to the other air purifiers in this guide. It gives you more direct control and accessibility, though, and that can be very useful!
